Ishak Ozel TEKIN was born in Sinop, Turkey in 1969. He received the Doctor of Medicine in 1993 from Gazi University Ankara, Turkey. He received the PhD degree in Immunology in Gazi University in 1999. In 2000, he moved to Zonguldak Karaelmas University where he founded the second department of immunology in Turkey the same year. He is the Head of Department of Immunology in Bulent Ecevit University, School of Medicine. He is mainly interested in inflammation and oxidative stress. He is a member of Turkish Immunology Society, Turkish Thorax Society and Turkish Association of Wound Care and Repair. He is the scientific director of Immune-Aging Division of Regenera Research Group.
